Includes connector housing, connector seal and wedge only. You will want to reuse your origial factory wiring and connectors to maintain consistency with wire identification. Avoid using the generic white wires provided with aftermarket cheap replacement connectors. NO SPECIAL TOOLS NEEDED: Since you are replacing your broken connectors, feel free to break them apart....you have new ones. Do be careful not to damage, crush or otherwise deform the wire terminals. You can use a toothpick, straight pen or similar devise from the front of the connector to push the wire retainer down to release the terminal from the housing. Remove the yellow wire lock (needle nose plyers or small flat blade screwdriver) then insert toothpick along bottom of the wire terminal (one at a time) and move the wire retainer down. Gently pull wire out of housing from the back of the connector. *Make sure your wire wedge is yellow in color and not red. As you may have noticed, there are two coil connectors being sold and they look identical. They are not and they way you can easily determine which one you have is to look at the wire wedge inside the connector. One is yellow and one is red. They are not interchageable without modification. The wire terminals are a different size AND the acual coil for the yellow version has a step molded inside. Otherwise, just looking at them...they look the same. Same shape...same release method... Believe it or not each version is actually manufactured by a different company entirely....both Ford approved...but each manufactures a connector nearly identical to the other. Ford does manufacture frames, engines, body panels and even their own glass. Just like Ford does not manufacture mufflers, shocks, brake calipers or wheels; Ford does not manufacture electrical connectors. Ford uses an outside vendor. These connectors are manufactured by Ford's approved vendor and packaged as Ford service parts.
