Item description
***Wild West Organics Jumbo Jalapeno Pepper***
Jalapenos peppers originated in Mexico, and is named after the Mexican town Xalapa, Veracruz or sometimes also spelled as 'Jalapa' which provides a hint as to its origin. Mexico is still considered to be one of the largest producer of jalapenos today with approximately 160 square kilometers/62 square miles under cultivation.
Jalapenos grow well and produce abundant fruits in semi-arid and hot climates. In the United States, jalapeno cultivation is concentrated primarily in the southwestern states of Texas, New Mexico, and, Arizona.
Wild West Organics delicious jumbo organic jalapeno pepper seeds were hand harvested from my organically grown and carefully nurtured jalapeno pepper plants. They are located in my sunny Arizona garden plot that generally receive dry, warm to very hot daytime temperatures and cool to warm nighttime temperatures. The average annual temperature is 70.9 F.
My jumbo jalapeno pepper plants love full sunlight and can grow 3 to 4 feet in height (36-48 inches) when raised in a garden, and about 1.5 to 2 feet in height (18-24 inches) when grown in a suitable container like a 5 gallon one.
Keep well drained, nutrient rich soil consistently moist, but be careful not to over water. Mulch soil with organic compost to keep your pepper plants healthy and happy. Jalapeno peppers are sensitive to over watering and extreme temperatures (over 90F/32). They actually grow best in the garden where their roots have room to spread out. Tie the jalapeno pepper plant stems to a stake for support and to prevent them from bending or breaking off.
These organic jalapeno seeds produce giant, green pendant fruits and they will ripen to a crimson red if they are allowed to fully mature. The fruits average about 3 to 4 inches long.and 1 to 1.5 inches wide. The skin is smooth and thick . Favorable growing conditions produce continuous yields of up to 30+ deliciously green fruits per plant during the growing season.
