Honda Acura radio wiring plug w/ pigtails and similar items

DETAILS This is a replacement plug for the 20 pin main plug found on the back of many Honda and Acura radios. (If you need the opposite version for installing an aftermarket radio, check our store for the HOW-AP20.) Wiring pigtails of approximately 6 inches are attached. These would be used if your original plugs were cut off and you are trying to install a factory radio in the vehicle. This was the only 20-pin main plug offered by Honda in the vehicles listed, so if you've counted 20 pins on your main radio connector and it came from a vehicle on the list and is going into a vehicle on the list, this is the one you need. This style of plug was used on most Honda and Acura radios from 1998 and newer, in some vehicles. See APPLICATIONS below for examples of vehicles that used this plug, as well as notes about some exceptions. This harness does not use the same wiring colors as your vehicle, so research on the car side will be required. This uses the aftermarket standard colors, but that's not what Honda uses for the vehicle's wiring harness. Do NOT assume a wire in this plug is the same as yours because the color is close. An aftermarket standard color chart has been included as a picture but it will not help you identify wires on the vehicle side. Please plan on researching pin-outs for this plug and wiring assignments for your exact year/make/model. Yes, it's a bit of a pain, but it can't be helped. Blame the guy who cut your plug off... Instead of the blue color pictured, this plug is sometimes cast as gray, and sometimes as white. We will send whichever one we grab out of the box. Obviously the color of the plug makes no difference when it comes to functionality...
