Historical Note:
These medals were reportedly produced in extremely limited quantities, most likely reserved for mission personnel, NASA and Soviet dignitaries. The exact mintage remains undocumented, adding to its rarity.
Notably, a similar medal is documented in the private collection of the late academician Boris Borisovich Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum (USSR), currently under the custodianship of Olga Andreevna Stepanova, Senior Research Fellow of the Numismatics Department of the Hermitage. This confirms the piece?s high cultural and historical significance.

Excellent vintage condition with original patina. All engravings and design details are sharp and well-preserved. The rotating Apollo spacecraft functions properly.
?
Estimated Market Value:
Based on comparable rare space-themed medals and sales, this piece is valued at USD $3,500 ? $5,500, with higher potential at specialized space memorabilia sales.
