Made in East Liverpool, Ohio, it features transferware imagery with pagodas, birds, and a willow tree in a traditional chinoiserie scene. On the underside, you?ll find three tiny unglazed dots?known as kiln stilt marks?which are a normal result of the firing process. These marks were left by the supports used to hold the plate in place during glazing and kiln firing, a common characteristic in mid-century American pottery.
