Item description
This is a large, bright and festive vintage exhibition poster featuring the art of Diego Rivera at the Museo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico, 1983. The painting on the poster is titled "Nina Con Flores" created in 1950. The bright florals and kneeling girls in traditional dress depict the beauty and warmth within Latin culture.
It measures 25" x 34" inches. Diego Rivera (In Spanish: Diego Marรญa de la Concepcion Juan Nepomuceno Estanislao de la Rivera y Barrientos Acosta y Rodrรญguez. December 8, 1886 ? November 24, 1957)
The item is professionally framed and it is in excellent condition as displayed in the photo gallery.
Diego Rivera was a prominent Mexican painter and husband of Frida Kahlo (1929?1939 and 1940?1954). His large wall works in fresco helped establish the Mexican Mural Movement in Mexican art. Between 1922 and 1953, Rivera painted murals among others in Mexico City, Chapingo, Cuernavaca, San Francisco, Detroit, and New York Cit. In 1931, a retrospective exhibition of his works was held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
