This 4.5 x 7.0 inch, 646- page softcover book is the 1928, sixth printing of the revised Handbook. This copy is only in good condition with the first few pages showing tears on middle edge. The front panel is a Norman Rockwell illustration showing a Boy Scout in profile with red neckerchief and brown hat against a blue-and-black background of famous Americans. text block at the rear corner. The text block is complete with age wear showing but really the text pages are clean and with very few pencil marks. A front endpaper shows the extensive printing history for the original Scout Handbook of 1910 and the 37 printings for that edition through 1927 and then the Revised Edition? of 1927 - - of which this copy is the sixth printing in 1928. Again - - the text pages are in very nice condition with a touch of age toning - - but very little damage - - but beyond that the text pages are clean with very few markings. This is the original handbook and not a contemporary copy - - featuring a Norman Rockwell cover. 646 pages.
