Item description
Music is in fair condition - pages are very brittle/frail. It does have wear and tear around corners/edges and spine. There are small tears/rips along all edges. Some discoloration, foxing and writing inside/outside. Consistent with age. Please see photos.
One of the great 'unknown' lullabys in the American Song Literature. A 'classical' piece at the time of composition by Charles Dennee, it also has the reflection of an American period of time when theology -- particularly Christian -- was the mainstay in almost every home. "Jesus" is mentioned watching over the child in this collectible, very difficult-to-find song.
