Item description
Get your great-grandparents old Christmas 78's out of the attic! This NOVELTY post-war 1948 Admiral 7RT41N AM radio / automatic changer combo includes a wired Aux input too. Preserved changer plays up to 4 10" or 12" 78 RPM shellac records through the AM radio via an onboard adjustable transmitter at about 1100kc (adjustable). Bakelite case and knobs in good condition and original speaker grill cloth. Includes a 4-record set of Dorothy Shay from ~1927, spare cart, needle and instruction. Requires access to 2 outlets.
Idler is bit noisy which is typical of its age. Tonearm retrofitted with NOS Jensen cart and needle. Speaker upgraded. Radio re-capped, deoxidized and updated for safety with fuse and 3-wire plug. Mechanism cleaned and lubricated, new tonearm wire; idler and cam conditioned.
READ: You are buying decades-old novelty electronics, expect performance and appearance as such. May include new, non-original, or remanufactured parts. Pictures part of the description.
