It's one of the John F Kennedy 100th Anniversary Legacy Proof Coin Collection, commemorating his birth on May 29th, 1917. Year of issue: 2017 Alloy: Base metal, with 24kt Gold Plating. Diameter: 38.6 millimeters. No denomination. Non monetary. Condition: Proof Edge: Reeded Mintage: Only 3,500 made!!! The medal is secured in a crystal-clear capsule for enduring protection. In his September 12th, 1962 address, in Rice University, JFK advocated putting a man on the moon within the decade. The obverse shows portraits of President John F Kennedy (JFK), highlighting significant events and achievements in his life and the history of America. The wording on the obverse is: SPACE RACE on the top, and 12th SEPTEMBER 1962 on the bottom. The reverse shows a beautiful Bald Eagle in flight, in front of the U.S. flag. It says UNITED STATES OF AMERICA on the top and 2017 on the bottom. This beautiful piece is sure to be a valuable addition to any coin, medal, exonumia or JFK collection.
