This copper ring is a little less than 1/4" (5.5 mm) tall. It is 0.05" (1.25 mm) thick. This is a sturdy ring, but not heavy.

I size all rings such that they fit the same as my sizing rings, which are thin, like an engagement ring. If a narrow ring of your size fits your finger, any ring your size from me will fit the same. Wide rings I make a bigger size for equivalent fit.

If you don't know your ring size, the only reliable way to measure size is with sizing rings. The most reliable, accurate sizing rings are with any reputable jeweler. If there is a jeweler convenient to you, it is the best way to measure your ring size. If not, most Walmart stores with a jewelry department will check your ring size for you. Also, some better craft stores, such as Michael's, have reasonably accurate sizing rings, which you can use to check your size.

Copper begins to tarnish, after polishing, as soon as it's exposed to the oxygen in air. The rate of tarnish changes when it touches the oils in human skin. The effect varies from person to person.

On some people, copper tarnishes very little or none. On others, copper tarnishes very quickly. Everyone has a unique body chemistry in how it affects the patina of copper jewelry.

Most of the time, copper patina is brick red, dark brown, black or green, but blue and pink are also possible. Tarnish usually lessens with time. As the copper becomes less bright and shiny, in most cases it tarnishes the skin it contacts less.

My friend who isn't a fan of copper tarnish paints the inside of her copper jewelry pieces with clear finger nail polish. She swears by it. It wears off after some weeks or months then she re-coats it. If you want to try this, I recommend cleaning the ring or bracelet with soap and water and drying it very well, first. The polish will hold on the metal much better after the oils from skin are removed and there is no moisture on it.
