Item description
This vintage demi-parure set from the 1950s is signed by Eugene Schultz and features a beaded necklace and earrings with faux jade stones. The closure is a push lock styled in an Art Deco fashion. The green glass beads and faux jade stones give a retro feel to the design, showcasing the craftsmanship of the era.
Believed to be handmade in the United States, this set exudes a classic elegance that is perfect for vintage jewelry collectors.
ABOUT the DESIGNER Eugene (Gene) Schultz, (1911-1964) a
graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York, founded his jewelry
manufacturing business on Fifth Avenue in 1952. Before that, he held
various positions in the late 1920s and ?30s, including working as a
costumer for Broadway productions. All Eugene jewelry was based on
Schultz?s designs and created by his staff. At the peak of production,
he employed 15 people. The jewelry they crafted was sold in high-end
boutiques like Henri Bendel and upscale department stores such as Saks
Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. The company closed around 1962, and
Schultz passed away in 1964. ~ information from WorthPoint
