Item description
Vtg Saginaw Auditorium Michigan Very RARE Brass Seat Number Tag 170 Historical
111 years old! Wow!
This is a very rare brass seat tag from the historical Saginaw Auditorium in Saginaw Michigan.
Located at 235 South Washington Avenue.
It was built in 1908 and closed in 1972.
It had a seating capacity of 3,000.
I have been searching for items from the Auditorium and other than postcards from the era I?ve only found one other item.... a dedicatory program from its opening.
At the beginning of the 20th century / early 1900s... Saginaw had several thriving hotels, opera houses, this auditorium and other stately buildings, that comprised its incredible landscape of homes buildings displaying the opulence brought about by the rich lumbering era...... these places drew people from around the country and globe!
This is a tid bit from days gone by but not forgotten in history!
I?m hoping this goes to someone that collects to preserve our rich history.
I have included some photos of the Auditorium here in the listing.
They are for reference only and I do not own them.
