Item description
Uniquitees is pleased to offer a 1930s vintage sterling silver three piece teapot, creamer and sugar from Sanborn?s of Mexico. This is extremely heavy weighing 1,462 grams (3 lbs, 3.6 oz). It does not include a tray.
We do not know the pattern but Sanborn?s tends to copy G. Jensen patterns and this particular pattern closely matched a Birk?s pattern we found online.
Normally we will polish but there are those collectors that prefer sterling silver in its original state and for this item, we are going to honor that though we think it presents better polished. Plus, by polishing we are better able to see any imperfections hidden under the oxidation. We are able to determine there are no monograms, initials or other personalizations other than ID marks underneath that were popular in the US in the 1970s-1980s.
There is one condition alert to note: The handle is missing a small piece of wood or plastic/bakelite. It?s a small piece of trim that can probably be replicated but honestly was not that noticeable to us until we were setting up this listing. We have a close up photo in the listing.
Please see photos as we have added measurements for each piece using a ruler.
Will ship USPS or FedEx (buyer?s preference) with tracking to winning buyer. Will include a Signed Delivery Receipt which seller will pay for and is designed to protect both seller and buyer in the mail delivery process. Please note you will have to sign for the item for it to be delivered.
