Created by the talented artist Pete Bretz, this American Chestnut Folk Art Figurine is titled ?Where Friends Gather? . This rare edition is a perfect addition to your collection. This is Wesley Bear and he's quite a character. Peter has given him many qualities that make him almost human like! I just love the sweet relaxed look on his face, he hasn't a care in the world. Carved entirely from American chestnut, Wesley and his silly frog friends are enjoying a soak in a wooden tub set on a base with a leaf pattern. A clear resin was poured for water in the tub. Peter also used very fine ground chestnut wood shavings for the bear's muzzle and for texture on the towel. Really nice wood grain and a few worm holes visible. Truly one-of-a-kind and great for bear collectors! Approx Size: 7 inches tall by 9 inches wide by 6 inches deep. CONDITION: Pre Owned. No damage, nicks, chips.
