It produces yellowish-green blooms in April to May and features colorful foliage that turns a deep bronze in fall. Deer-resilient, it thrives best in deep, rich, moist but well-drained soils with full sun to part shade. Leaves will be more green when grew in shade. Full sun exposure gives most purple leaves color. ? Purple Leaf Beech is a large, deciduous tree that can reach 50-60 feet tall, sometimes growing up to 100 feet.
