This is a hard to find piece so don?t miss out on this. You are buying a 5 1/8? tall x 7 1/2? wide OPALESCENT GLASS PANELLED HOLLY PATTERN BUTTER DISH MADE BY NORTHWOOD GLASS CO. 1908. The Northwood Glass Co closed in 1925. This piece has gold decoration and is a pressed glass. The condition is VERY GOOD no chips or cracks. There is one small dimple on the rim of the lid this is a mould mark in the making and is perfectly smooth (see picture #4. Pressed Glass will have mould marks, straw marks, small imperfections from the moulds, tiny bubbles etc. The gold has wear but is evenly worn no heavy loss areas.
