Item description
STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND
by Robert A. Heinlein
[Garden City, New York]: G. P. Putnam's Sons, (1961).
First Science Fiction Book Club edition, first printing (with code c23 on page 408).
Released in June/July 1961, the book club edition is the same version as originally issued earlier in 1961 by Putnam's.
Bookplate to the front endpaper, some wear along the extremities of the spine, else very good in green boards with gilt spine lettering; lacking the dust jacket. Pale yellow top edge coloring shows a streak of soiling.
Heinlein's monumental tale of a Martian named Valentine Michael Smith that landed R.A.H. his second Hugo Award.
