Vintage Beau Sterling Silver Hope Chest and 16 similar items

This is a remarkable vintage sterling silver charm holder pendant that was crafted by Beau jewelers back in the 1960s. It features 4 charms, all hallmarked "BEAU STERLING" on all the original jump rings and the charms also stamped for either BEAU or STERLING or both. In addition, the charm holder is stamped "BEAU STERLING". The lid of the hope chest opens and closes and locks into place. It is intricately detailed with heart designs. Total weight of the holder and charms is 9.3 grams. The charm holder measures 34.5mm. long or 1.36 inches. It opens to add more charms if desired. This sweet charm holder pendant and the charms are in very good, pre-owned condition and have not been polished, retaining all of their original aged patina. The history of Beau Jewels trademark began in 1948 in New York and lasted for more than three decades. The trademark founder was Bowman Foster Inc., the New York based company incorporated in 1931. The company stopped making jewelry in 1979 and ceased to exist in 1980.
