Each kukui and mongo necklace has approximately 22 genuine kukui nuts each 2.5cm in diameter, and approximately 420 white mongo shells, each approximately 5mm in diameter. The "Black 3 Shell Ring" option has three rings of mongo shells between each nut, versus two rings on the others and the Kukui Lei with Wood Disc/Mongo has a total of 13 kukui nuts with wood discs and mongo shell rings between each nut. The Kukui Tree is commonly grown in the Hawaiian Islands. It is a symbol of enlightenment, protection, and peace. Necklace length: approximately 32" long. Ties behind the neck and can be adjusted up to 5 inches. You can also remove some of the nuts and shells to make the lei shorter. These can be worn as is or taken apart for other craft projects.
