Item description
LUCK OF THE IRISH
by Ruth Adams Knight.
Garden City, New York: Doubleday Company, Inc., (1951).
First edition, first printing.
"First edition" statement to the copyright page.
Knight, a renowned dog expert, trainer and author, draws on her expertise for this adventuresome novel centered around possible show dogs and trainers in Connecticut, with an excursion to the Venzuela jungles where the dogs search for survivors from a missing plane crash.
A well-preserved, attractive first edition.
Pages starting to age-tone as usual, else very nearly fine, square, tight and firm in taupe-violet linen boards with gilt embossed titles to the spine; in an about near fine price-clipped dust jacket with light crimps and rubs to the upper and lower spine edges and corner tips, and with rubbing and tiny surface nicks to the front flap fold.
