Nina Ricci Paris Couture VTG 1950s Gray Wool and 50 similar items

Fantastic Vintage Haute Couture Nina Ricci Boutique dress and jacket with matching brimmed hat. It is comprised of charcoal gray wool with a bit of mohair in it. The dress is adorable- fitted with a full-back zipper, darts for a great fit, and is sleeveless. The skirt falls from large box pleats at the waist. The dress is unlined, and the sleeve holes are lined in green navy blue polka dot silk, which also completely lines the jacket and trims the hat. There is a detachable bow of the same silk. The jacket is a slightly fitted style, with a princess collar and lines. It is completely loaned, even the sleeves. All edges are trimmed with silk. No pockets and I think very light shoulder pads. Also, a matching leather-backed belt. The label is a La Boutique de la Nina Ricci, Paris, Made in France, Hand Made in France, and it has a Holt Renfrew label- this is a wonderful piece of costume history! The hat is a turned-up brim affair, with the same silk trimming it. It has the label "Hand Made in France", and "Nina Ricci" and a content tag, I can't read it all. What a find! Museum quality.
