A nicely preserved vintage hardcover in the original dust jacket.
Former owner's bookplate to the inside front cover discreetly hidden behind the DJ flap, else very nearly fine in fresh, bright red linen with gilt embossed Modern Library running man insignia to a black oval to the front cover, gilt embossed titles, rules and insignia to black panels to spine, map illustrated end-papers; in a very good dust jacket with a one-inch tear to the lower front panel edge, very short tears to the rear panel's lower shelf-edge, some age-toning and fading to the spine panel, chips to the upper spine end, tiny rubbed tears to the lower spine edge; printed $1.45 price still intact to the front inner flap, series titles listed to G61 to the rear flap, 299 titles listed to the jacket's verso.
