Item description
Street Gospels by Bedouin Soundclash CD 2007 Dine Alone Records.
Third recording by the Canadian reggae/ska band formed in 2001. Their music fuses reggae, rock, punk, and soul into heavyweight rhythms and dubbing bass that is its own genre. On this outing, their success allows them to expand their horizons with the help of Money Mark (Beastie Boys), Darryl Genifer (Bad Brains), who also produced the record, and vocalist Vernon Buckley (The Maytones). Great echoes of The Clash and the English Beat here. Highlights: Walls Fall Down, Gunships, the a cappella gospel style of Hush, and 12:59 Lullaby, which was first heard on a Grey?s Anatomy episode. Truly memorable music. A must-have.
