Item description
This is for a stunning Elie Bleu matchbox holder in beautiful Amboyna burl with maple inlays and a gold striker window. They stopped making these long ago.
The long oval opening on the side is for accessing the striker area on the side of the match box. Very often the inner box and striker area are missing. This one is all there.
In the last photo along the upper left edge there is a tiny round nick in the clear finish.
Elie Bleu humidors and accessories are all made in Paris, France. Elie Bleu is known for its fine inlays and marquetry.
Pro tip: Always place this on its felt feet. People tend to stand these up on one edge but it's not good for the finish.
