About The Record:
This album is designed for people who don't think you have to sit down to enjoy the music of The Music Man. Of course, there is plenty of sitting down pleasure in the score of this score of this new hit musical. A listen to Capitol's Original Cast album is convincing proof that this score has much for the eager ear. But it's made for dancing feet, too, and here are the orchestras of Guy Lombardo, Freddy Martin, Glen Gray, and "Pee Wee" Hunt to start things moving. With these four top bandleaders alternating at the baton, the Music Man dancing party is assured of the widest and most pleasant variety of dancing styles and tempos. Each maestro has selected the tunes most ideally suited to his own group and he result will make dancers rave about the album the way critics raved about the show.
