With selections from Demosthenes, Marcus Tullius Cicero, Girolamo Savonarola, Jacques-Benigne Bossuet, Honore Gabriel Riqueti, Comte de Mirabeau, William Pitt the Elder, Edmund Burke, Charles James Fox, Henry Grattan, Patrick Henry, Daniel Webster, Henry Ward Beecher and more. Also included are shorter selections from many other great orators of their time.
Pages uninscribed, however, first two pages each bear a small faint stamp from previous ownership. Minor wear to coves and spinem slight bumping to corners. Cover shows some slight imperfections, dings, marks, etc. Page edges are original ragged-cut style seen in similar printings of the era.
