**Hardier than normal feijoa! Perfect for some pushers and plant enthusiasts in zones 6b-7.**
Feijoa/pineapple guava (acca sellowiana) is a flowering plant of the Myrtle family. They produce edible, pink flowers that taste similar to floral marshmallows. The flowers are followed by edible, apricot-sized fruits that can be eaten fresh or made into jellies or preserves.
Plants are evergreen, easy to grow, are drought tolerant, and moderately salt tolerant once established. Flowers bloom early summer and are loved by pollinators. Plants make an attractive hedge about 8 feet tall.
Plants are usually marketed for zones 10-8. My bushes, however, are extremely hardy! They are overwintered in ground in a protected, unheated micro-climate and have withstood -5 degree F weather in zone 6b Kentucky for ongoing 3 years!
These cuttings are freshly cut from my own feijoa bushes which can be rooted to grow your own feijoa bushes.
Some leaves will be trimmed off before shipping. Your cuttings are guaranteed to arrive fresh and viable. Along with your purchase, you will receive instructions on ways to root your feijoa cuttings. Under proper conditions, grafting and/or propagating cuttings can be an economical solution for many gardeners. However, there is ***no absolute guarantee*** that your scions/cuttings will be successful. Because of this, I cannot offer replacements or refunds on things like cuttings or scionwood.
