Gothic suspense thriller by the author best known for his crime novels and police procedurals.
Dismissing the tales of ghosts, Howard with his beautiful wife Angela seeking a rest period recommended by their doctor selected a rural cottage by the sea in England to live in. However, when strange sounds from downstairs interrupted their sleep and a ghost like figure appeared on the lawn, skeptic Howard unexpectedly found himself in the position of protecting them both from an unknown evil that threatened them.
