The film traces the intertwining lives of four women - Fakhri (Arita Shahrzad), Zarin (Orsolya Toth), Faezeh (Pegah Ferydoni) and Munis (Shabnam Toloui) - against the turbulent political backdrop of Iran's 1953 coup, in which the CIA helped to overthrow the democratically elected government and reinstate the Shah to power.
