In 'A Grand Day Out' (1989), Wallace is shocked to find himself out of cheese. With the corner shop closed because of a Bank Holiday, Wallace decides that only a trip to the Moon will solve his cheese needs, and so fires up his home made rocket for a trip of a lifetime. In 'The Wrong Trousers' (1993), a sinister penguin takes a room as a lodger in Wallace's house. As Gromit gets more and more suspicious, the penguin is revealed to be a daring thief, who plans to use Wallace's new invention - a pair of automated trousers - to steal a rare diamond. Finally, in 'A Close Shave' (1995), Wallace falls for Wendolene Ramsbottom (voiced by Anne Reid). While Wallace is busy with his new Knit-O-Matic machine, sheep begin disappearing and Gromit clashes with Wendolene's terrifying pet dog.
