CRY WOLF
By Marjorie Carleton.
Garden City, New York: The Sun Dial Press, (1946).
First Sun Dial Press edition, first printing.
Originally published by Morrow in 1945.
Carleton's garnered an Edgar Award nomination for her mystery novel NIGHT OF THE GOOD CHILDREN.
The author's most renowned mystery, adapted to the 1947 Noir film starring Barbara Stanwyck and Errol Flynn.
Quite an elusive vintage title, especially in hardcover.
End-papers lightly age-toned as usual, small white stain spots to the rear cover, else very good in green linen with dark-green titles, decorative borders and panels to the spine, deckle page fore-edges, upper page edges evergreen; lacking a dust jacket.
