Most of my bikes as a kid were hand-me-down bikes from that era. We used to jump them all day until we were too tired to move. Building ramps from an old piece of wood and a couple cinder blocks. Riding wheelies, and jumping rock piles. We felt like we could fly on them. Evel Knievel inspired us to go big or go home. Jumping ramps I soon learned to repair my own bikes. Bent rims were common, and so was flat tires. Then in the 80's I was introduced to BMX bikes. I wanted one so bad but got a Huffy Omega 10 ten speed bike. Soon I hussled up enoughparts from friends to build a BMX bike from junker parts. We jumped dirt piles and off of loading docks. We had many great times on our bikes back then.
