VTG Oval Picture Frame Cast Iron Classic and similar items

Offered is a Vintage/Antique (?) ornate cast oval, table top picture frame. This decorative, 19th Century styled, rococo frame has an elegant scroll and oak leaf design. It is in very good to excellent pre owned condition, including the sturdy hinged swing-out stand. The iron form is very nicely detailed and deeply cast. The gold guilt has worn through the ages, but still provides a warm cast on the iron and a lovely patina. The glass was hand cut (a DIY addition) and is surely a newer replacement as it looks like the glare free type. The matting is newer and also a DIY addition. The back of the oval rim has three recesses for mounting pins, only 2 pins are present. It still make a tight closure though (requires a screwdriver). I have found only a number marking on the back-08939 and a series of "X" on the back of the base. Please see all photos for more detail on contdition.
