Item description
COUNTERPLOT
By Edward Jay Epstein
New York: The Viking Press, (1969).
First edition, first printing.
"First published in 1969 by The Viking Press, Inc." statement to the copyright page.
Printed errata slip showing mistakenly omitted cyrillic letters for pages 29 and 31, laid in.
Epstein was a teaching fellow at Harvard, scholar and author of numerous books and articles on the JFK shooting and plot.
Drawing on two further years of research, Epstein shows that the New Orlean's district attorney's investigation by Jim Garrison on the evidence of conspiracy behind the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, was indeed an investigation of suspect.
Light age-toning to the end-papers as usual, else very nearly fine, tight and firm in blue linen over black boards with yellow and black embossed titles to the spine, black-and-white headband and tail-band, upper page edges bright yellow; in a price-clipped very nearly fine dust jacket; original printed date code 0269 still intact to the front inner flap that bears a mild crease to its lower corner.
Octavo; 182 pages; notes; index.
