Organic Fir Honey was awarded for its quality organoleptic characteristics in its
category at the International Organic Beekeeping Competition "BIOLMIEL 2011".
Organic Fir Honey is collected from the spruce forests of Arcadia (Mount Parnon Mount Mainalo)
in the Peloponnese at an altitude ranging from 800 m - 1300 m from the beginning of June until the end of July.
The area of ??Mount Parnon and the ravine of Leonidio-Eloni Monastery where this honey is collected is
included in the NATURA 2000 Network which is a European Ecological Network of areas,
which host natural ecotypes species ecotypes that are important at European level.
After harvesting, the honey is carefully filtered and packaged no later than one month after collection
in modern facilities directly in glass jars, then stored in a dark, dry and stable place at low temperature,
ready to be disposed of. consumption as offered by the rich Greek nature.
