United Wilson Porcelain Water Pitcher and Underplate Set
The United Wilson Porcelain Company is the last remaining such company in Hong Kong, so I was thrilled to have acquired this matching bowl and pitcher set 12 years ago. Having to sell it is not so thrilling. This vintage set is large and once sat on my cocktail table. Presumably one can call it an armorial set, and it is now on a bedroom dresser.
It’s absolutely stunning, and I’m not being hyperbolic. A 20th-centuryChinese Tong Ping reproduction it is an elegant and unique collectible from the 1970’s. The set is beautifully decorated with curls of leafy branches that enclose stunning blooms of lotus, peony, and chrysanthemum. This intricate design makes it a true work of art; it is marked with the green United Wilson 1897 mark on the base, adding to its authenticity and historical value.
The under plate is 16 inches in diameter. The pitcher (with the cover on) is 15 inches tall. It is priced very well at $225,00 plus shipping. Please let me know of your interest.
