Antique 10k gold Mythical Griffin pin / Gold and 7 similar items

I always find it amazing that something so beautiful and old has not gotten lost after all this time. . This brooch is from the late 1800's and it is 10k yellow gold. Most likely hand made to suit the owners fancy. It has a genuine most unusual turquoise center with tiny seed pearls and then more turquoise stones on the ends. The most unusual and charming thing about this brooch are the faces on either ends. Possibly to protect its owner?. Possibly worn in the center of a collar. In great shape less the one chain ( see photo) , it needs to find a home where it will be loved and passed onto new generations. See photos for more views and size. Sold as found.
