Dorothy Harrison Floral Painting C.1930s Issue: / Year: 1930's Condition: NM AN ENTICING YET RESTFUL DISPLAY OF GORGEOUS FLOWERS IS FEATURED IN THIS GREAT ORIGINAL PAINTING. Dorothy is a fairly well-known artist. Her life can be read about in W*k*p*dia and other places. This work appears to have been created in watercolor (although we are not certain of the medium). Our understanding is that Dorothy generally displayed her work in the New York area. This outstanding large painting is from a South Florida estate. The original art sits within a frame which measures about 24.5" x 29", and looks absolutely magnificent! CONDITION: this original looks just about exactly like it did when Dorothy drew it. Probably dates from the 1930s or 1940s. The artwork itself we grade an essentially perfect NEAR MINT. The frame is also close to perfect, we grade it VERY FINE/NEAR MINT. The frame's back paper has mostly been removed, showing that the back of the painting is also in excellent condition. This work would look spectacular on display. PHOTOS: we are providing two images. The first photo does a good job of showing the entire framed picture (except that the photo has a fair amount of glare, especially on the left middle). We also have a detail of Dorothy's signature.
