Simeoni, Gabriel, FIGURE DE LA BIBLIA ILLUSTRATE DE STANZE TUSCANE. Lyon: Gulielmo Rouillio, 1570. Vellum hardcover, good/n.a., 12 mo (6.374x4.5?), n.p.#s. Contemporary vellum binding, chipped, bumped and rubbed, hinges are started but holding strongly, light occasional marginalia, some sporadic minor coloring to cuts, light staining, small occasional wormholes, (mostly in O.T. title page), the occasional small tear, small amount of damp staining.
Well over 400 haunting woodcuts with some being full page plates. 2 parts in one volume - Old and New Testaments. New Testament is dated 1570 and the Old Testament is dated 1577. Quite the spectacular Capture of Tyme and a very distinctive book indeed!
