(Internal #CS3-1) Excellent, new, hand stained natural pine resin, hand-molded (reproduced from the original shell cameo) cameo is an BROWN colored butterfly with IVORY background color, organic pine resin is mounted on a piece of repro Victorian brass with flower design overlay accent piece; cameo itself is 1-1/2" long x 1-1/4" wide. Clasp pin/pendant glued horizontally on back. Unusual theme of the butterfly is done in "intaglio style" (i.e. original was carved INTO the shell rather than "glyptic" where the subject projects forward from the background). Excellent detail within the butterfly's wings and well defined edges, unusual for a small cameo. I know because I do half the work in creating the cameos. Comes with information card.
