(Internal #CFA20-6) Excellent, new, hand stained natural pine resin, hand-molded (reproduced from the original shell cameo) of an AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN cameo, an IVORY color resin with BLACK background; mounted on repro Victorian Oval floral leaf, filigree, rectangular frame brass, finally on a BRASS FRAME with BLACK felt backing. Frame is perfect on a desk, credenza or shelf as a display, there is also a ring on the back to hang on a wall. Cameo itself is 1-1/2" long x 1-1/4" wide. FRAME STYLE #20 - Victorian design in solid brass frame with raised edge, solid brass floral frame, 5-1/2? long x 5? wide. Weight: 4.1 oz. Superb detail down to the texture of her hair, and face! I know because I do half the work in creating the cameos. Comes with information card. The theme of African-American women in cameos is RARE, there is mention of this in the book "Cameos Old New (2nd Edition) by Anna M. Miller, G.G. (I recommend the book for anyone collecting cameos).
