Item description
First printing, full number line. Inscribed and signed by the author on the front endpaper: "To another Marguerite / With best wishes / Marguerite Wolf “A follow up to "Anything Can Happen in Vermont"; drawings by Robert MacLean.
Good review of life in rural Vermont with many enlightening and often entertaining stories recounted by the author. Not a native Vermonter, and wife to a doctor, Marguerite Hurrey Wolf recounts her journey from Manhattan to Vermont and how she came to embrace her Vermont lifestyle in an old farmhouse. Stories involve interactions with the various animals that stayed on her small farm, including pig and sheep to the interactions with neighbors and her husband's medical co-workers. Told with great down to earth candor in a philosophical approach, the details of the do-it-yourself lifestyle as told by Wolf cause the reader to be introspective and think about just how we're living our life these days. Recommended to anyone with an appreciation for the country life or curious about life in small town Vermont.
