Item description
Catalog Number: DL-5075
Condition Details:
Shipping includes insurance because this is very fragile. Shellac plays with crackles and a few clicks (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, slight discoloration with darker discoloration spots, and surface impressions (front/back); tiny surface abrasions on front. Spine has no text and shows wear. Some sort of masking tape covering bottom-edge; top-edge is completely split. Some wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Tracks:
The Stars And Stripes Forever
Semper Fidelis
Washington Post
Hands Across The Sea
The Thunderer
High School Cadet
El Capitan
King Cotton
About The Record:
Sousa Marches, Volume One, by American Legion Band of Hollywood, is directed by Joe Colling. John Philip Sousa was a Portuguese-American composer and conductor of the late Romantic era known primarily for American military marches. He is known as The March King or the American March King, to distinguish him from his British counterpart Kenneth J. Alford. Among his best-known marches are The Stars and Stripes Forever, Semper Fidelis (official march of the United States Marine Corps), The Thunderer, and The Washington Post.
