1986 First Day Cover Gold Replica Statue of Liberty stamp. Postmarked July 4, 1986 Liberty Island, NY/NJ. This cover has an historical significance at the marking of the 100th Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. Would be a great birthday or anniversary gift if someone was born/married on July 4, 1986 CONDITION: Mint condition. only removed from cardboard protective sleeve to scan. Although the photo scan shows a dark shadow along the bottom edge, that is just a shadow caused by light getting in from the scanner, due to the thickness of the protective plastic cover of the gold stamp. Also, we did not notice until we were done scanning all of them, but there is a small black mark along the upper edge, which originated from our scanner glass, and is not on the item.
