Item description
? Up for sale is Blueberry ‘Top Hat’ (Vaccinium angustifolium) in a 4" pot size. Cold Hardy in zones 3-7. Remarkably hardy, this variety can withstand cold temperatures down to zone 3. ‘Top Hat’ is a new dwarf variety, reaching only 20” tall x 24” wide. It originated from a multi-generational cross between true angustifolium ‘wild’ blueberries and standard northern highbush blueberry selections. Thrives in well-drained, acidic soil. Picture shows adult plant in 2-3 year that you will grow. You will receive starter plant in 4 inch container, not the one shown in the picture.
? This versatile blueberry can thrive as a potted patio plant or add charm as a foreground plant in both edible gardens and landscapes. With a consistent round growth habit, robust flowering, and generous fruit set, it produces delicious berries. The small, finely serrated, glossy green leaves enhance its aesthetic appeal. Being self-fertile, ‘Top Hat’ doesn't require a cross-pollinator to set fruit. Abundant white blossoms grace the plant in spring, yielding a bountiful harvest of sweet fruit in mid-summer.
? Cold Weather: Delays may occur due to daytime temperatures dropping below 34 degrees. We are currently unable to send live plants to the following states: Alaska, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin, Wyoming. If you are located in one of these states, you can still place your order, and we will send it as soon as the weather allows.
? If temperatures, either in your area or in transit to you, are too cold for us to safely send your order, we will reschedule it to send as soon as we feel it's safe to do so. We look for a period of 4 consecutive days above freezing in your area and ours to avoid plants freezing in transit.
? Your order will arrive in good condition, if any issues occur with the item while it is on the way to you, contact us very same day with describing the issue and attach pictures of the issue so we can see it. alongside other northern blueberry varieties is recommended to maximize yield. This blueberry thrives in well-drained acidic soil and can endure harsh conditions.
