c1948 ABRAHAM LINCOLN AT ANTIETAM SHARPSBURG McCLELLAN CIVIL WAR PHOTO UNION. This photo depicts President Abraham Lincoln and General George McClellan at McClellan's Headquarters tent after the Battle of Antietam. Originally taken in October 1862. This photo was found amongst newspaper wire photos and is captioned on the back. It appears to be a a silver gelatin 2nd generation photo, as it does not have the contrast and clarity an original strike off the glass negative would have. I believe it is circa 1948, from another found with it. Light wear, it measures 5" x 7". 2" tear left edge along a crease.
