Minor shelf wear, else near fine in dark blue cloth with red spine titles and cover illustration (Marine Corps emblem) to the front cover; in a near fine dust jacket with a sliver of chipping to the lower spine, several tiny tears to the lower shelf edge, and modest wear along the front flap fold.
Dust jacket price of $3.75 present.
With Battle Cry, the author's first novel, Leon Uris draws upon his own World War Two experiences in Guadalcanal and Tarawa to depict the toughness and courage of U.S. Marines in the Pacific.
The 1955 film version of this novel was directed by Raoul Walsh and written by Uris.
