The first printing was published in March, 1949.
Lovely pen-and-ink illustrations accompany the story of Peter Anderson, who longs to have a horse of his own, and learns about nature, animals, the outdoors and Utah history.
Includes sub-stories on Native Americans, early cowboys, and Mormons.
Mild foxing to outer upper page edges, light rubbing to the upper and lower spine edges, slight age-toning to the end-papers as usual, else about near fine in green linen with black illustration of a horse and cactus to the front cover and with black titles to the spine, ranch scene illustrated end-papers; in a very good plus lightly age-toned dust jacket with tanning and rubbing to the spine panel, and with a one-inch closed tear to the upper front panel; original $2.00 price still intact to the front inner flap.
Tall octavo; 96 pages.
