Item description
Vintage brooch with a white porcelain oval in a gold-toned metal setting. The porcelain is decorated with a transfer decal of an 18th-century shepherdess in gold leaf and black. The silhouette image is rendered in the rococo revival style reminiscent of Jean-Honoré Fragonard. The piece is 1? (2.54 cm) tall and .75" (1.9 cm) across. The brooch is secured with a hinged pin and safety clasp. The piece is unmarked. The brooch is in good condition. There is some minor loss of color to the decal. The porcelain is clean and intact.
